Lampwork Jewelry
Lampwork beadmaking is what brought me to designing jewelry. I loved working with glass, but soon realized that the logistics of setting up a safe environment in which to pursue this awesome art presented a hurdle I could not clear. I began searching instead for unique lampwork beads made by glass artists that I could showcase in jewelry. That is why I like to keep my lampwork jewelry designs rather stark. I love the individuality of each handmade bead, and I try to enhance it with a design that will draw attention to the beads and not the enhancements. I use lots of sterling silver, crystals, and natural elements, such as pearls and semi-precious stones.
